——CAMPING——

For most people who attend Cornerstone Festival, camping out on the festival grounds is part and parcel of “the Cornerstone experience.” True, camping in the midst of a music festival is not necessarily identical to camping off in the woods even though the fest grounds and camp areas have plenty of woods. In this case, however, the landscape may be less natural than social: camping out with thousands of Christians from across the country (and around the world) is an essential part of what it means to participate in the unique Cornerstone Festival community.

Cornerstone Festival attenders are welcome (and encouraged) to camp onsite for no extra charge. Campsites are primitive with no electricity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no “designated camping area”.

Where you choose to set up camp will also have an effect on your Cornerstone experience. Consider what kind of environment will be best for your group. Places near stages will obviously be high-traffic and noisy until the early hours of the morning. Campsites in more secluded areas offer some measure of privacy and quiet, but will be a longer walk to events. Youth Groups may secure a spot in a reserved area ahead of time.

——RV——
(info taken from cornerstonefestival.com)

The Cornerstone Festival grounds include 175 units of RV sites for people who wish to bring their recreational vehicles to the festival. Each site has its own 100V 20 amp electrical service and water hook-ups. For a small fee an independent sewage pumping company will be on site to pump your RV.

Sites are available now on a first-come-first-serve basis until they are all taken. You may reserve a site according to the size of your RV. The cost of the sites is currently $200 for the week. Spaces vary from ‘25 to 48’ long and are 15’ to 28’ wide. Please inform us of the size of your RV when making reservations.

Because the sites are designed to efficiently accommodate as many RVs as possible, tent camping in the immediate vicinity of the RV sites will be extremely limited. To make your reservations call the the Cornerstone Festival office at 773.989.2087.

——FACILITIES——

There are no indoor bathrooms; however, there are plenty of portable stalls located across the grounds. Stalls are not equipped with lighting, so you may wish to take a flashlight with you at night.

There are two community shower houses on the grounds – one male, one female – that operate 24/7, but take note that there is no hot water from midnight until 6AM. Sinks are located around the outside of those buildings.

If you choose to bathe in the lake, please use phosphate-free soaps.

 ——FOOD——

You have a few options for food during the week:

  • Bring food with you. Preparing meals at your campsite is a great way to save money during the festival.
  • Purchase groceries in nearby Macomb to take back to your camp.
  • Eat at one of the restaurants in Bushnell or Macomb.
  • Purchase food from the grocery store tent onsite. They offer a small selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. They also sell items such as ibuprofen, matches, sunscreen, bandages, etc.
  • Purchase food from the food court onsite. There are a variety of vendors as well as two coffee bars

——GOLF CART RENTAL——

Cornerstone will be restricting the use of golf carts again this year. Only people with health problems, people with small children, older people, etc., and Cornerstone staff will be allowed to drive carts around the grounds. If you feel you qualify for using a golf cart, you must apply before the festival (even if you want to bring your own golf cart) by emailing genesis[at]cornerstonefestival[dot]com

——CANOE RENTAL——

Canoes are available for renting at the beach.

——MAIN OFFICE, SECURITY, FIRST AID——

The main fest office is located near the food court midway and is equipped with an ATM. Security is usually also headquartered here and is on duty 24 hours a day.

The first aid trailer is next door to the main office and is fully staffed with medical personnel.

 ——PHONE CHARGING——

There are a few phone charging stations located in the midway. Outlets are limited so conserve your battery as much as possible and be considerate of others needing to charge their devices.
